nowadays, electric bikes are becoming more popular than any two-wheeler vehicle.

I more prefer for ebike rather than a petrol/diesel bike. surely, if you are reading the article then you also want to have a personal ebike where you can go on a long ride like a man who is enjoying as well as making the environment more prosperous for the next generation.

the main reason for ebike is so expensive is because the demand is more but the supply is half of the total demand and some countries are still in their early stage. the main auto industry movers are still away from the EV industry. obviously low availability and low competitions are responsible for an increase in the price of EVs.

also, the components used in the ebike are not available everywhere.

the manufacturing hub of electric vehicle and their components are mostly located in china. as we know to order something from china is more expensive(shipping cost) than the price of the product itself. which is really makes it expensive to the end-user as well as the dealers. 

one more thing plays a major role in making ebike expensive, “the battery unit”

yes, the batteries are the heart of EV’s. it cost almost two times the cost of the components as well as if you want more mile range in the vehicle then have to increase battery capacity.

these are the reason which makes an ebike so expensive.
